I studied Sculptural Basketry with artist and instructor Dee Clements at Ox-Bow, exploring basketry techniques as a way of constructing sculptural form rather than solely functional objects. Through material experimentation and studio work, the course considered weaving, structure, tension, repetition, and the relationship between objects and the spaces around them. Ox-Bow’s immersive program offered concentrated time for making, experimentation, and exchange with other artists. My participation was supported by funding from the Windgate Foundation.
